Radar Sensors in Automatic Driving Cars

The principles and performance of ultrasonic radar sensors, millimeter wave radar sensors and lidar sensors were analyzed and compared in this paper. Horizontal comparison between various types of radar sensors and smart cars in the market was performed, and the importance of multi-sensor fusion systems was interpreted. The development trend of these types of sensors and the prospect of self-driving vehicles are described.
