The Operation Researching of a Traction Asynchronous Electric Drive in the Electric Locomotive on a Dynamic Model

The article carried out research on the various asynchronous electric locomotive control systems’ quality work according to the system «transistor autonomous voltage convertor - three-phase asynchronous traction motor» on previously developed computer model. The work relevance consists researching the work quality of the various control systems under the frequency converter – asynchronous motor (FC-AM) system on a dynamic computer model, taking into account the characteristics of the traction electric locomotive operation. The aim of the article is to research the quality of working open-loop and closed-loop scalar and vector control systems according to the FC-AM system on a dynamic computer model taking into account the characteristics of operation for the tractive asynchronous electric drive in the electric locomotive. The methods used are: basic electric machines theory, theory of electric drive, mathematical modeling methods in the Matlab Simulink, method of experimental planning. Novelty: operation of the traction electric locomotive features are formulated; A new structural scheme for the mechanical part of the electric locomotive drive has been developed, taking into account the changes in the resistance moment and the total inertia moment in the gaps selection in the wagons coupling by continuous functions from the electric locomotive railroad, and the total inertia moment’ change rate is taken into account in calculating the angular speed of the motor. Result: The article is represented in relative units of oscillograms of currents, moments and speeds transient processes, while driving from different control systems for FC-AM of electric locomotive, by which the best ones are selected. Practical relevance: On the basis of these researches, the oscillograms obtained and the evaluation of the control systems performance, taking into account the characteristics of the operation of the traction electric drive, it has been proved, that the speed of the open-loop vector control system with an electromagnetic moment set has the best performance; developed computer programs can be used in research by other scientists.
