IoT Based Smart Home Automation and Demand Based Optimum Energy Harvesting and Management Technique

The concept of smart home and automation is one of the most lucrative projects of IoT. With the recent advancement in research field, IoT has brought smart appliances and systems in our home that work automatically with less human effort. Besides, the power consumption and financial aspects are getting priority now a days to make this automated home system affordable by people. This research proposes an implementation of smart home automation system by dividing our regular household appliances into two categories, low load and some scheduled high load appliances. After automation and scheduling, a solar system power supply has also been incorporated that can supply power to some appliances and reduce power consumption from national grid. This system also provides a detail analysis on energy management which has been developed by measuring power consumption throughout a year in different seasons. Our proposed model intend to demonstrate an authentic smart home by controlling the usage of home appliances in an effective manner at a minimal cost.
