Implementation of Ship Motion Mobility Model in UnetStack for Underwater Sensor Networks

Unlike terrestrial networks, deployed sensor nodes in underwater networks can move due to ship movement, water current, etc. This movement of nodes in underwater networks causes a severe effect in the routing of data to the offshore destinations. Hence, nodes movement is one of the essential factors in designing a context-aware routing for underwater networks. This paper proposes a mathematical model to study the node movement in underwater networks due to the ship movements. Additionally, the proposed model is demonstrated through its implementation in UnetStack3.
