A Study on Applying Mobility Patterns for Multi-UAV Trajectory Planning

Trajectory planning tends to become one of the most important topics related to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the past years. The reasons for this include: hardware and software development, specific legislation that covers this topic, an increase interest from end-users or manufacturers and the list can continue. Scientific literature has unlimited information related to UAV influence on various fields, but limited on multi-UAV path planning, synchronization and cooperation. For this reason, the current paper has the objective to reveal a study on trajectory planning that will underline the importance of this topic in nowadays. A series of advantages and disadvantages will be covered throughout this paper to offer readers a clear perspective on applying mobility patterns for trajectory planning.
