Comparative study of controllers MIMO System

The Twin Rotor MIMO System is a mathematical prototype of a helicopter and this paper explores several conventional and sub optimal control methods of this system. The objective of this paper is to represent the TRMS in decoupled form by separation theorem and then derive the state-space model. Conventional PID controller to optimal controllers like Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) is implemented to make the TRMS response track the desired output of the system quickly and accurately. A comparative study has been done in this paper for better understanding of the responses of the different controllers and which gives the best response.
