Full Color Emission of Fluorescent Metal Nanoclusters Regulated by Doping Heteroatom

nowadays, as new generation fluorescent nanomaterials for display, the non-toxic and low-cost copper NCs became powerful alternatives. The compact and well-organized self-assembly of NCs greatly promote the emission brightness. However, the incomplete explored fluorescence generation mechanism results in the weak regulation of the emission colors. In this work, the copper NCs are deliberately modulated by doping different initial ratio Au heteroatom into the copper core, which greatly influences the process of ligands to Cu-Au charge transfer, then further makes effect on the emission colors. The full color emission 2D materials in visible region are successfully achieved by adjusting the doping percent of Au inlayed in copper core. The high-performance white light emitting diodes for illumination application are constructed by sophisticatedly mixing the rather stable various monochrome Cu NCs assembled fluorescent powders.
