Small Signal Stability Analysis of Power System of Arequipa using PSAT

The analysis of stability of electrical systems is a complex process, therefore, in search of a manageable way to carry out said studies for academic purposes, this article analyzed the stability of small signal of the electrical power system of Arequipa by means of the tool called PSAT based on MATLAB For the simulation, the electrical system data was obtained from the database of website of COES (Comité de Operación Económica del Sistema Interconectado Nacional). By studying the eigenvalues by the first Liapunov method for small disturbances. It was determined in a manageable way that Arequipa’s power system is asymptotically stable.
