Industry 4.0: Real Time Embedded System with Integrated Data Acquisition

Technology has evolved over years in industries, which have seen profound changes. Industry 4.0 is a well-organized system that employs cybernetic techniques with digital communication in industrial products and services. Real time embedded system plays a major role in creating manufacturing production entirely from raw goods to finish the product through automated process. This is achieved by interconnecting devices, machinery and people with each other for developing a smart management system. This paper describes the overall design to build a cost effective cyber physical systems [CPS] with rich communication option. UART, SPI, I2C, MMC and Ethernet on board protocols are used to communicate with sensors, converters, and memory units etc., with FTP and telnet servers to accommodate large file transfer and short command-based communication. Wireless standard provides flexibility in communication with other devices and networks using STM32H7. Integrated data acquisition services are used in real time applications and autonomous decision-making process. Proposed system is implemented with ridiculous communication, inexpensive embedded system and easy to control with a best response of 22.8ms. It is monitored with an array of electronic devices that are widely usedin industries.
