Review of mobile Applications for Managing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

In this paper, we review the major mobile applications used for managing CKD in various dimensions. As there is a rise in the number of diseases related to the kidneys and development in mobile health technologies, there are various mobile applications being developed and launched into the market which may be effective or underrated or may contain wrong information. Therefore, it is essential to periodically review the applications related to CKD. Accordingly, this paper identified 11 mobile applications from Android and Apple stores related to CKD management. These apps were reviewed with respect to various features and functionalities and the results are discussed.
