Application to Optimal Control of Brushless DC Motor with ADRC Based on Genetic Algorithm

A novel active disturbance rejection control method based on genetic algorithm was proposed for brushless DC motor. Firstly, the mathematical model of the control method was analyzed, and a criterion of integral square error - integrated time and absolute error was proposed to construct the fitness function of genetic algorithm to improve the dynamic and static performance of brushless DC motor. Finally, the proposed method was compared with conventional PID control by experiment, the results show that with active disturbance rejection control optimized by genetic algorithm, the motor got faster response speed, smaller overshoot, and shock was also restrained effectively.
