Improvement of Convergence of Power Flow and Convergence Ranking of Load Bus

The paper mainly discusses the role of conductance model of the heaviest load bus on the convergence of power flow theoretically. Briefly speaking, to analyze the effect of conductance model of load bus on the eigenvalue of symmetrical matrix derived by power flow Jacobian matrix by means of Gerschgorin theorem. The conclusion that conductance model of the heavy load bus is benefit to the convergence of power flow is verified. In addition, a method of convergence ranking of load buses is proposed according to the difference of minimum eigenvalues between power model and conductance(susceptance) model of the same load bus, and to compare the method above with bus sensitivity method on the convergence ranking of load buses.
