A Multi-objective Optimal Dispatch Microgrid Based on AHP and QPSO Algorithms

Due to the development of microgrids (MGs) and growing application of renewable energy resources, multi-objective optimal dispatch of MGs deserves more studies. Aiming at a standalone MG which is composed of wind turbines (WTs), photovoltaics (PVs), units of diesel engines (DEs), load and battery energy storage system (BESS), a multi-objective optimal dispatch model is developed. The economic cost, environmental concerns and power supply consistency are expressed by providing sub-objectives with varying priorities. Then, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) algorithm is employed to reasonably specify the weight coefficients of sub-objectives. Quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) algorithm is thereafter employed as a solution methodology to conduct the optimization for optimal dispatch of MG. Finally, the validity of the proposed model and solution methodology are confirmed by case studies.
