Models of Optimal Placement Information Resources on Nodes of Distributed Information Processing Systems in the Electric Power Industry

In this paper, we consider the application of stochastic Queuing networks (QN) to solve a practical problem related to a more rational organization of the computing process in information systems of the electric power industry. Exact methods of stochastic QN analysis are presented by the closed exponential QN analysis method, approximated by the decomposition approximation method, the average knowledge analysis method, and simulation modeling. The simulation method used an approach based on a combination of agent and process modeling. This approach was applied to obtain an adequate mathematical model of the functioning of a distributed IPS with an input stream that has self-similarity properties. The results of numerical solution of practical problems are presented.
