Artificial Intelligence for Smart Interiors - Colours, Lighting and Domotics

Colour and lighting plays an important role in an interior space by visually focusing out different elements like furniture and accessories in an interior space. Home automation systems (Domotics) are smart technologies to control indoor environment systems, lighting systems, entertainment systems and other appliances to increase comfort to the end user. This paper discusses about influence of lighting on interior colours through automation system around the globe. The study concentrates on how lighting and colour scheme can enhance the overall design and comfort of an interior space with use of home automation systems. Through this study, an effort was made to discuss importance and effectiveness of lighting and colour in creating a positive vibe in an interior space. This is further enhanced with help of home automation technology by creating contrast between colour systems, lighting systems and between warm and cold colours in an interior space. The findings will help designers to plan through on how to design an interior space using lighting and colour schemes to enhance an interior space visually with help of smart technology.
