Performance Analysis of Brushless Direct Current Motor Drive for Different types of DC-DC Converter Using MPPT

Furtherance in power semiconductor devices material and fabricating technology has accredited the design of extremely efficient and compact motor drives. This paper proposes a power converter implementation of Brushless DC motor drive system with solar photovoltaic array. A maximum power point tracking algorithm called incremental conductance method is served to exploit the maximum power of PV array. Implementations of the BLDCM in the boost, zeta and modified zeta converter have been done and motor parameters (rotor speed, electromagnetic torque and stator back EMF) are discussed. The three topologies are compared based on the parameter values. MATLAB/SIMULINK is used to design and simulate the desired configuration.
