Soft Computing Methods for Tracking the Global Maximum Power Point of Photovoltaic System Subjected to Partial Shaded Conditions

Tracking of maximum power point (MPP) is necessary part in photovoltaic system design. for this reason, many researches in this field have been used several methods including classic and soft computing methods this paper aims to verify the performance of two soft computing algorithms for track the global MPP of partially shaded PV system. The two algorithms are Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC). To assess the tracking success of MPP for the two proposed methods in various shading cases comprehensive comparative study is carried out via simulation MATLAB. The results had proved that PSO method has best tracking performance compared with FLC method.
