Contribution to the analysis of the maintenance function for the continuous optimization of the reliability of an industrial system

The objective of dependability, which is summarized in a satisfaction service delivered (product, service,....). From the point of view of quantity and quality, the purpose of maintenance is to ensure better availability of the production tool, which necessarily requires its shutdown for a given time to intervene. In our work and from an experience in an industrial production unit, we see that the maintenance function optimization study based on the very simple reliability allow undoubtedly a substantial improvement on the maintenance indicators of the envisaged equipment, namely; reliability, maintainability, availability and security. Hence the role of a safe and well-used feedback is emphasized through two different tools, namely; the use of estimators (reliability, maintainability, availability) and Pareto method on one side, and the Kaplan-Meier in a target to determine the survival of the industrial system function studied other side.
