A Non-Invasive Health Monitoring System for Diabetic Patients

The growth of the digital era has paved the way for the development of numerous applications. Increasing the number of the population has also seen an increase in the number of people suffering from numerous diseases. Diabetes is one of the prominent diseases which is likely to occur commonly to most of the people in the world. It is necessary to check the level of glucose in the body for them by making use of many invasive methods. These methods bring a lot of pain to the patients using it. In order to get rid of these methods, in this paper, we have proposed a model that measures the level of glucose in the body using the transmission of light. Li-Fi technology is used and as it is faster and efficient than the traditional Wi-Fi systems. As in remote areas, patients cannot have frequent access to the hospitals and this model will serve to eradicate this challenge. The model is efficient and reliable as the monitoring of a patient is done 24*7. The performance of the system is evaluated and is observed to be much efficient when compared to other traditional health monitoring systems for the patients in the hospitals.
