Multi-Sensor Attitude Information Fusion Based on EKF for Micro-Satellite

In this study, the method-extended Kalman filter (EKF) attitude determination system is presented, aimed at estimating the attitude information based on the component of micro star tracker and MEMS gyro (ST-MG). First of all, in terms of hardware, by embedded mode, the star tracker and gyro are coaxial to reduce installation errors on the satellite. Secondly, establish the attitude determination model with error quaternion and gyro drift as the state parameters, and calculate the star tracker's residuals as the measurement parameters. Finally, the simulation shows that the information fusion results have corrected the gyro drift and reached convergence accuracy respectively, which is meaningful for engineering practice.
