Review on An Energy Efficient, Sustainable and Green Internet of Things

Internet of Things is an evolving paradigm, which provides a platform to communicate trillion of interrelated objects or things with each other. The communication amongst the IoT devices requires enormous energy consumption for sensing, collecting, and transmitting significant information from their environments. Green IoT emphases on the energy-saving of the IoT devices to achieve a sustainable and safe environment in the IoT System. Thus, Efficient Energy Consumption is the key research area of IoT in the present and future. This paper basically covers the investigation of the research on Efficient Energy Optimization Techniques & Strategies. Efficient Energy Consumption is not the only solution for the reduction of energy requirements and providing a sustainable environment in the IoT System. But Energy Harvesting is also an alternative source of energy for IoT devices to provide a sustainable environment. This paper also covers the investigation of the energy harvesting techniques in the IoT system.
