Communication System with Hyperphase Signal

This paper is a research of the communication system with hyperphase modulation based in a surface-spherical ensemble of signals, that contains 18 signal points. The communication system studied in this paper consists of a transmitter with hyperphase modulator, a channel with additive white Gaussian noise, and a receiver with a hyperphase demodulator. A simulation model of the communication system has been developed in the Matlab Simulink software package. With the help of the simulation model, it is confirmed, that the application of the signal with hyperphase modulation for communication systems is possible. The probabilities of symbolic and bit errors are obtained for various signal-to-noise ratios in a Gaussian communication channel. A comparative analysis of the characteristics of the signal with hyperpase modulation is carried out in comparison with the classical types of modulations. The prospects of the use of signals with hyperphase modulation in data transmission systems, including satellite-based, are estimated in this paper.
