Protection of Microgrids with Distributed Generation based on Multiagent System

The protection scheme represents a challenge for different modes of operation. The same relay has multi settings that need to change accordingly with the mode of operation. The main reason for the challenge is the continuous change in the operations of the Distributed Generations. In order to increase the resiliency of the system, a co-simulation platform based on multiagent system and a battery are connected to the microgrid system. DDS is used as a middle-ware between the physical and cyber parts in the system. The main advantages of the suggested system are:- the settings of the protective relays are not changed at different modes, and the protection scheme cost is low as the battery is already used to feed the pulsed load. The results indicate a smooth interaction to flow the information between cyber and physical parts.
