Aerodynamic Measurement of the Rotor Blade for Aviation Application

The optimal blade setting angle was determined from the model of the blade, made up of sections. Further, the aerodynamic characteristics were determined for selected sections of the model. The research was carried out in the GUNT HM 170 wind tunnel for specific air flow rates. The maximum lift and drag forces were determined and then converted into dimensionless coefficients. The research object is a prototype rotor blade dedicated for the UAV with a maximum take-off weight of 150 kg. The blade was divided into sections to determine the optimum setting angle along its length and to identify the most suitable angles of attack along the rotor radius. Such an analysis allowed for selecting the optimum angles of attack for the respective blade sections.
