Speed Semi-Sensorless Vector Control of Parallel Connected Induction Motor

System design of single-inverter driven dual-motor control often requires elimination of speed sensor to reduce cost, minimize volumetric packaging, and increase system reliability. Nonetheless, speed sensor usage is still desirable for high precision control applications. This paper aims to combine both methods in order to get the best of both worlds while decreasing the number of sensors used in doing so. Proposed method is named semisensorless and the feasibility of semi-sensorless method is proved for single-inverter dual-motor control through simulation.
