Evaluation and Research on Utility of Power Meteorological Data Service

Fine and accurate meteorological data is one of the important basic data in design, operation and maintenance of power system, and further down-scaling of dynamic model results based on comprehensive analysis method can effectively integrate background information of reasonable weather elements provided by numerical forecast with accurate site observation data. Meanwhile, physical influence of temperature, profile and other factors on the temperature profile is considered, which can effectively make up for the lack of measurement in area without data, and provide more accurate and refined temperature for field data analysis. Therefore, Finkelstein-Schafer statistical method is intended to be used in this paper to generate typical meteorological years, and Mesoscale Pollution Model (TAPM) is adopted to downscale meteorological elements to a grid of 3 km*3 km. Moreover, comprehensive analysis method is adopted to further downscale so that air temperature environment data at transmission line channel can be obtained in typical meteorological year. Meanwhile, results are analyzed as well.
