Analysis and Research on Improving Engineering Literacy of Higher Vocational College Students Based on STEAM Perspective

As the main source of technical workers, the engineering literacy of higher vocational students has greatly affected the basic quality of the new generation of social workers, so it is very important to improve students' engineering literacy in higher vocational colleges so as to lay a good quality foundation for students. The emerging cross-disciplinary STEAM education in the world provides an effective way to improve the engineering literacy of higher vocational students. Under the concept of cross-disciplinary STEAM education, students can not only learn the logical thinking formed in the process of solving engineering knowledge and engineering model, but also make students discover the coupling relationship between various subjects among cross-disciplinary subjects, so as to acquire the process of engineering design and engineering thinking in vocational education. Under the guidance of constructivism and STEAM education theory, this study analyzes and studies the higher vocational classroom based on the STEAM perspective according to the cognitive law of higher vocational students, and puts forward some suggestions on the concrete implementation of engineering literacy training for higher vocational students, which can provide experience reference and path reference for higher vocational classroom teaching.
