Design and application of a digital platform for university entrepreneurship in San Pedro Sula

In 2018, the underemployment rate in Honduras increased to 62.8%, affecting professionals and academics. Therefore the following research aims to present the design and application of a cellphone App, which allows students with technical skills or competencies to be able to provide its services through a digital platform. Using a quantitative approach and an experimental design, a market study conducted to determine the acceptance and profitability of the project, with the independent variable IRR. Results show that 87% of the university community perceived it as a useful tool and with an IRR of 27% and a recovery of the investment in 1.67 years. In conclusion, the platform that includes a website and App developed in Angular and Ionic is cost-effective and useful for them to provide their professional services.
