Managing type 1 diabetes mellitus in ambulatory patients

We present a direct adaptive control/management idea for assisting patients suffering from type 1 diabetes mellitus. It is argued that a static nonlinear feedback law is all that can reasonably be implemented given the paucity of the measurement data.
