Design and development of customized technology interactive model for object (living and nonliving) tracking system

Security for humans and valuable assets is one of the pressing concerns in today's era. Therefore utilizing a security system that is reliable, economical, and intelligent is imperative. This paper demonstrates the design using a sensor network system which was implemented successfully in Intelligence Laboratory at Vardhaman College of Engineering. The proposed system employs Tensilica 32-bit RISC CPU Xtensa LX106 along with Expressif ESP-8266 Wi-Fi module known as NodeMCU to interface global positioning system (GPS) to extract latitude and longitude, global system for mobile communication (GSM) to send a message to authority, cloud network for reliable and accurate communication. An android application has also been developed to provide user feasibility to track the asset or person. The system consists of a portable device that is attached to a person or asset and a controlling setup that is fixed at a position near the person or asset. The system calculates the distance between the portable device and controlling setup in regular intervals and publishes it to notify the concerned persons automatically if the distance between the portable device and controlling setup is above the threshold value.
