L.I. Gutenmakher - scientist, inventor, dreamer. Forgotten name?

L.I. Gutenmakher is a major scientist and inventor, a specialist in the field of electrical modeling, one of the pioneers in the development of domestic electronic computers and automation. In his scientific works, Gutenmakher intended to use electronic computers not only for solving computational problems, but also for processing the results of scientific research and engineering developments, automating information retrieval processes in the world literature fund and other aspects of processing various types of information. Only at the end of XX and at the beginning of XXI these ideas were implemented in databases and electronic libraries, information retrieval systems and the Internet. This scientist stood at the origins of computer technology in the USSR along with other domestic founders of this industry.
