Interference Coexistence of 5G NR and LTE System Based on 2.1GHz

The current work on 5G interference coexistence is mainly concentrated in the millimeter wave band. However, with the further development of the new generation of mobile communications, the shortage of spectrum resources has become increasingly serious. In this case, spectrum recultivation may be a good method to improve the spectrum utilization. Based on the deployment of existed communication systems, this paper conducted a study on 5G new radio (NR) frequency-division duplexing (FDD) system coexist with 4G LTE FDD in 2.1GHz band. We analyze theoretically first. Then we use Monte Carlo method for system-level simulation, building a simulation platform. Moreover, we compare the different sub-modules of NR FDD and LTE FDD systems. Finally we concluded whether NR FDD and LTE FDD can coexist in 2.1GHz band. If not, the required adjacent channel interference ratio (ACIR) can be obtained through simulation.
