Estimation and Comparison of Module Temperature Model Coefficient for Different PV Technology Module

The photovoltaic (PV) module performance in the environment is specially affected by operating temperature and wind flow throughout the module. It finally impact on output power of module. This paper presents a new point of view to estimate new model coefficients, for the site, by keeping module temperature models format as it, has been reported in literature. The estimated module temperature using predicted coefficients compared with the experimental module temperature for three different technology modules (amorphous-Si, Hetero-junction with intrinsic thin-layer (HIT) and multi-crystalline-Si) installed at Gurgaon site in India. It has been observed that, the estimation of module temperature using new coefficients, is accurate, and comparable to experimental values with minimum error. Also, get the reasonable accuracy in Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of module temperature coefficient, between estimated and in the literature coefficients of models for the site.
