An Automatic Identification Algorithm for Weak Area of AC/DC Hybrid Power Grid

The interconnected AC/DC hybrid power system not only improves the efficiency of power transmission in China but also brings risks to stable operations. Faults in AC grid weak area may lead to commutation failures, DC blocking failures and even chain failures. In this paper, an automatic identification algorithm for weak area of AC/DC hybrid power grid is presented based on the principle of fuzzy clustering analysis. A case study is put forward to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
