A content-based image retrieval system on the mode of network

The paper presents a small image retrieval system on the mode of computer network. In order to overcome some limitations of the traditional retrieval methods, we design an image retrieval system that integrates text-based and content-based image retrieval (CBIR) techniques. When the user submits the query, the system performs the query programs. The retrieval results according to the similarity to the queried image are shown to the user through Web browser. Experiments show that this system is simple, practical, effective and can be extended easily.
