Empirical Test of the Impact of Fund Managers on Fund Performance

This paper uses empirical research methods to observe the impact of fund manager's personal characteristics on fund performance, and selects open-end stock funds established before January 1, 2014 as the research object, excluding the data impact of a fund with multiple fund managers at the same time and a fund manager managing multiple funds. Regression analysis is performed using the Sharp index as a performance indicator. The research results show that the number of funds employed is negatively correlated with the Sharp index. Other characteristics of the fund manager do not affect the fund performance.
