Healthcare Data Protection Using Cellular Automata Encryption Techniques

This paper mainly focuses on protecting healthcare data by Cellular Automata (CA) based encryption techniques. Cellular Automata is called a finite state machine where each cell has a transition function. Here the operations are done over 8 cell Programmable Cellular Automata (PCA), where elementary CA rules are passed as the key for strengthening the cryptosystem. The focus of the cryptosystem is to restrict access to the malicious, unauthorized users.
