1.3-Tb/s single-channel and 50.8-Tb/s WDM transmission over field-deployed fiber

We demonstrate the first WDM transmission experiment on a field-deployed fiber network spanning 93 km with a per-carrier net bitrate <1.25 Tb/s on all 40 channels yielding 50.8 Tb/s at 11.29 bits/s/Hz spectral efficiency using only the C-Band, EDFAs, and one DAC per modulated dimension.
