Challenges of Academic Mobility in View of Students Inclusion in Engineering Education

Despite the numerous advantages of academic mobility, some of its participants face barriers to education and further success in life due to several issues associated with the social inclusion. This study examines the sources of students' failures and dissatisfaction with mobility, focusing on three questions: what are the reasons of travellers’ defeats, how they relate to engineering disciplines, and what steps should be taken to include foreigners in engineering courses? The outcomes obtained help increase the quality and diversity of education, as well as assist mobile students in guiding their own learning, improving curricula, enhancing communication, and strengthening collaboration with local staff. The proposed educational thesaurus can serve as an effective tool for adapting curricula to the actual students’ backgrounds.
