Novel Single Substrate Integrated Hexagonal Cavity (SIHC) Based Dual-Band Bandpass Filter

In this paper, a compact dual-mode substrate integrated hexagonal cavity (SIHC) based dual-band bandpass filter is proposed. The design specified transmission zeros and wide stop-band improve the filter selectivity. A single hexagonal cavity is employed to design the filter. The first two higher order degenerate modes are exploited to obtain lower band and next three higher order orthogonal modes are employed to obtain higher band. The center frequency of the first and second band are at 10 GHz and 13.95 GHz respectively. Perturbation technique and SIW based feeding technique are used to realize dual-band bandpass filter.
