Design and Analysis of Wideband Stacked Isosceles Triangular DRA

A stacked wide band DRA of isosceles triangular shape, having bandwidth from 4.374 GHz to 7.65 GHz (covering the C band communication channel) is designed and analyzed in this paper. The primary contribution of the work lies in deriving a closed form equation for the resonant frequencies of TM mode of the stack. This helps in identifying the design parameters to obtain the wide band. Moreover, the radiation patterns are broadside throughout the frequency range, as the first three TM mode frequencies get merged to produce the wide band.
