Engineering Calculations of the Glass Annealing Process

The article researches the problems of automated engineering calculations of glass annealing process using mathematical programming environment Matlab. The features of simulation of glass products annealing are formulated. The structure of an automated system for calculating glass annealing is considered. The example of the practical application of designed system for cylindrical glassware is shown. The temperature dependences of the glass properties and relaxation constants are calculated. The temperature and stress fields were simulated for the existing annealing regime. An example of determining the optimal annealing regime providing residual stresses tolerances is given. The efficiency of applying the procedures of the programming environment Matlab for solving thermophysical and optimization problems is shown.
