Human ECG data collection, digitalization, streaming and storing

Remote healthcare services has become a must for many healthcare service providers and health device manufacturers. This process requires specialized health devices for collecting, storing, and sending one or many types of human bio-signals that are able to work for short-or long-term pace basis. Since IT renaissance, traditional paper-based ways of data collection became a non-preferred utility due to hard analysis, monitoring, or even data extraction procedures, these old technics does not enable data storage to keep track of different patient’s health status. In the meanwhile, historical patient status plays an important role for patient’s overall status monitoring. Apple iWatch4, Sanatmetal WIWE, Meditech CardioBlue, and Savvy PCARD ECG presents some of nowadays’ healthcare technologies that could keep track of patient’s health status during all day activities. These devices could work for many hours, days, or even weeks depending on the device, hence, it enables continuous patient’s vital signs monitoring. Health parameters prediction, human bio-signals data analysis and monitoring, integrated healthcare, and health data storage and standardization presents some of many possible applicable topics for biomedical data acquisition and digitalization; this latter is needed for many research or manufacturing topics due to its ability to store patients data for long-term basis using mobile and wearable devices with specified software. Therefore, it helps doctors and medical staff to monitor their patient’s status during different daily activities in order to better understand their overall health status changes. In this paper, we highlight and emphasize the importance of human bio-signals acquisition for further processes related to health status prediction, analysis and real time health monitoring during remote health data acquisition systems, it is important to notice that this paper is not to change pre-existing streaming ECG data exchange protocols or to replace traditional and accurate methods, but to present an extra tool for ECG status monitoring during other daily activities which are mostly out of hospitals.
