Compatibility Validation Framework for Complex Data Center HW Components

This paper presents the quality assurance improvement strategy to transform Compatibility Validation (CV) process for complex Data Center (DC) HW components into an operational excellence that shifted left the validation results and built efficient test suites that minimized coverage redundancies, reduced test execution time and maximized infrastructure utilization. The latter was accomplished by implementing test development best practices to maintain the injected errors in test environment close to the minimum industry world class levels of approximately 2% and to increase product quality by detecting system and compatibility issues early and efficiently delivering high quality products to be integrated in commercial DC solutions. This document covers the description, complexity and challenges of CV, it also presents the methodologies implemented to improve coverage, reduce noise and the integrated management system to monitor results and remove waste.
