Fundamental Study on Eddy Current Brake of Using A Three Phase AC Excitation Method

As a preliminary research step of research and development of non-contact hybrid brakes, basic experiments on eddy current brakes were conducted. Excitation was performed using direct current, alternating current and three-phase alternating current. Also braking torque characteristics were measured.
