Realization of Modern Tram Data Acquisition System Based on Labview and Modbus TCP

In order to develop modern tram energy-saving management system, a real-time data acquisition system based on Labview and Modbus TCP communication protocol is designed. Compared with the traditional human-machine interface (HMI) development, which requires the establishment of Modbus I/O server, the development steps of the system are simpler. Compared with the disadvantages of poor self-adaptability and low communication efficiency of serial communication, Ethernet has a wide range of networking, good compatibility and strong anti-jamming ability, which meets the practical application requirements of large data communication volume and efficient transmission of the system. The system is installed on an industrial computer and can be debugged and operated independently. It establishes communication connection with depot energy management system through TCP/IP protocol, and then obtains corresponding energy consumption data through question-and-answer transmission protocol Modbus. Experiments show that the developed modern tram data acquisition system can realize real-time data collection, display and storage, which provides powerful support for modern tram energy management.
