Optimization of PN Component Sequence Acquisition Algorithm in Telemetry Ranging

Telemetry ranging technology uses an uplink ranging link that Regenerative PN ranging does. In PN sequence acquisition stage, traditional maximum search algorithm still finds a maximum when only noise signal is input. That will cause a false acquisition. Aiming at that problem, three solutions which add some optimizations to the maximum search algorithm are proposed. The new algorithms greatly reduce the false acquisition probability under the noise only input circumstance. The simulation results further verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. It is recommended to use the maximum-threshold comparison algorithm for the acquisition of component sequence in telemetry ranging.
