The high-frequency weak signal detection based on Duffing Oscillators at Ultra Low SNR

Identifying a Duffing oscillator state transition and determining the critical threshold of a Duffing oscillator system are indispensable in weak signal detection. However, the conventional algorithms for obtaining a critical threshold are complex and time-consuming, and they are greatly influenced by the noise intensity. Taken this into consideration, the phase point counting (PPC) method for the real-time detection of weak signals in noisy environments is proposed. In this method, by transforming the two-dimensional phase plane into the onedimensional time signal, the computational complexity can be simplified. i.e., we can obtain the critical threshold corresponding to different noise intensity with a faster speed. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the real-time performance and reduce the sufferance of chaotic critical points to noise to obtain a lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Furthermore, it can be extended to engineering applications more simply and efficiently.
