Study on Levelness Checks and Adjustment of Guns by Taking Use of Electronic Level Meters

It is necessary to keep a weapon system with high precision constantly to fully exercise the maximum efficiency of a gun weapon system. It is important to check and correct levelness errors among each part of the system so as to ensure a good precision of the system. By a conventional levelness checking method, two quadrants are placed on two different platforms handled by two operators who need to have very good coordination in the work, but it is difficult to carry the work well if the platforms are not fixed. In this article, electronic leveling and computer technology are discussed, by which angle of inclinations are automatically sampled at the same moment and automatically processed, so this method is easy, fast and economical. A large number of tests show that by this method, shortcomings in a conventional method can be avoided and high precision levelness checks can be realized in a dynamic state.
