The Design and Implementation of the Customer Traffic Statistics Analysis System Based on Wi-Fi Sniffing Technology

In order to help arcade shop premises get the information on flow of customers, we designed a customer flow rates' statistical analysis system, based on Wi-Fi sniffing technology. The system uses the Wi-Fi sniffing module to decode the MAC address of the mobile phone. Then it summarizes and analyzes the collected information on the cloud platform. Meanwhile with the function of real-time detection of people flow, this system opened the floodgates wide to us to calculate the information such as the average dwelling time of customer, the trend of customer flowed. The Wi-Fi sniffing module is placed to detect the wireless signal of the mobile phone and determine the customer's location. The above information can be used to realize the data-based operation of offline stores, further than that, optimizing the management of shopping malls.
